We look forward to welcoming you...Pumpkin Island is located 13.8 kilometres from Yeppoon, with the nearest airport in Rockhampton 40km from Yeppoon.

We have made it easy for you to relax from the get go with these Pumpkin Island Travel Tips...

 

There are numerous regular commercial flights available daily from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane into Rockhampton with Qantas and Virgin Blue. Upon arrival at Rockhampton Airport, a 45 minute trip by car, bus or airport transfer awaits to Yeppoon’s Keppel Bay Marina. A helicopter transfer from Rockhampton Airport to Pumpkin Island takes up to 40 minutes one way.

Little Johnny's Tours provide a convenient airport transfer option from Rockhampton Airport to Keppel Bay Marina, Yeppoon for up to 21 guests. 

For larger groups (21-50) we would also recommend a bus charter with A Class Bus Hire,  Sunbus or Rothery's Coaches.

Alternatively rental cars or taxi services are on hand from Rockhampton Airport.

 

For self drive holiday makers, Rockhampton is 635km north of Brisbane and 1,072km south of Cairns. Before heading to Yeppoon, find out more about road conditions and traffic from the RACQ website.

Keppel Security Car Park provides guests with both short term and long term secure car parking. They have drop off and pick-up facilities to and from the Keppel Bay Marina available and can be contacted on: (07) 4933 6670. Alternatively vehicles may be left at the Keppel Bay Marina parking lot.

 

Pumpkin Island offers direct boat transfers aboard Pumpkin Xpress (for up to 24 guests) from Keppel Bay Marina in Yeppoon, at a cost of $25 one way per adult and $15 one way per child (4-12yrs), Infants & Toddlers (0-3yrs) travel free.*

Larger group bookings (24 guests+) can arrange for a catamaran ferry from Freedom Fast Cats to transfer all the guests in one go.

Pumpkin Xpress can be chartered to run outside of the scheduled departure days to give you the freedom and flexibility to depart and arrive at your own leisure. The cost for an unscheduled transfer day is $600 per boat trip one way and $1,200 per boat trip return.

To assist in maintaining the pristine eco friendly environment, Pumpkin Island has no jetty facilities, so getting your feet wet will be part of the experience, therefore we recommend wearing shoes suitable to getting wet. Transfers from Pumpkin Xpress ashore are undertaken by way of our smaller transfer vessel.

 

For an adventurous alternative, guests can explore the surrounding islands with a half-day leisurely cruise, aboard a sailing boat named Grace, whilst enjoying a lovely lunch and refreshments onboard, en-route to Pumpkin Island, for only $115 per adult one way.
